Londoners Series: The Fair Lady, Leicester Square, 30 December, 1988
At the end of a very long, cold December day, I walked over the Leicester Square where a small makeshift carnival had been assembled. I think the attendants almost outnumbered the attendees. This woman in the ticket booth seemed oblivious to almost everything as she stared vacantly out on the night. Perhaps she was thinking about when she posed for the painting below her on the booth wall? The resemblance is uncanny.
