Pensioners, Brighton Pier, 20 August, 1997

A group of pensioners (now known as ‘seniors’) take a load off their feet on Brighton Pier, East Sussex, on a warm summer afternoon. Despite being in one of Britain’s top seaside resorts, none of them look very pleased. Almost twenty-five years later, most are likely no longer with us.
