Brighton Pier, East Sussex, 20 August 1997
Brighton is one of Britain’s most popular seaside destinations, and the Pier is a popular spot for strolling, people watching or just relaxing. In 1997, I was working on a series of pictures that I hand coloured, and used very grainy Kodak T-Max 3200 film to create the images. This particular image always looked best in black and white though, and the very grainy texture gives it a nice atmosphere.
