Moonrise, Cook Inlet, Alaska, May 1988

Over the course of three weeks, back in the late Spring of 1988, I drove to Alaska and back with a couple friends– 9,500 miles all together. It was the epic road trip of my life. On this night, we had just driven down from Fairbanks and were at a campsite along the Cook Inlet near Anchorage. The moon rising at midnight over the mountains is one of my favorite images from the trip.
