Sydney Opera House, Australia, 7 July, 1994
The Sydney Opera House has always been special to me. I vaguely remember it as a small boy growing up in Sydney- it was finished when I was six years old in 1973. And my mother used to work for the Australian Navy at Bennelong Point, where the Opera House now stands. I photographed it this time in 1994, using Kodak High Speed infrared film, which had to be handled very carefully and exposing it was tricky. But the effects it created were often beautiful and atmospheric.
